Booking & Pricing
How do I book a course?
Email us at info@mheonsitetraining.co.uk with your facility location, equipment type, number of candidates, preferred course type, and available dates. We'll respond within 24 hours with availability and a formal quote.
What are your pricing tiers?
Novice Course (3 days): From £750 for up to 3 candidates. Conversion Course (1–2 days): From £250 depending on duration. Refresher Course (1 day): From £200. Prices shown are indicative — get in touch for a tailored quote. All quotes include instruction, assessment, certificates, and travel within South Lincolnshire.
Is there a deposit required?
Yes, a non-refundable 25% deposit of the total course price is required to confirm and lock in your booking. The balance is due within 7 days of the invoice date.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
With 48 hours' notice or more, you may reschedule free of charge. Your deposit can usually be applied to a new date within 3 months. Less than 48 hours' notice results in the full course fee being payable. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
Do you offer block bookings or discounts for multiple courses?
Yes — contact us to discuss multi-day or multi-team bookings. We can often negotiate flexible rates for larger facility needs.
Courses & Training
What's the difference between Novice, Conversion, and Refresher courses?
Novice (3 days): Full theory and practical training for operators with no formal certification. Conversion (1–2 days): For operators with prior valid certificates from another provider, converting to your equipment. Refresher (1 day): For operators needing triennial renewal, or triggered by incident, absence, or equipment change.
How many candidates can participate per course?
Maximum 3 candidates per instructor per day. This ratio ensures adequate individual seat time and practical assessment, as recommended by HSE ACOP L117.
What equipment do you cover?
Currently, we provide training on Counterbalance forklifts (B1/B2) — electric, diesel, and LPG. All training is tailored to your specific equipment and site layout. Reach trucks, telehandlers, and other equipment are coming soon as our certification expands.
Can training be scheduled outside normal working hours?
Yes — we can arrange weekend or shift-based training if it suits your operation. Contact us to discuss your availability.
What is included in the training course?
Full theory and practical instruction, on-site assessment, site-specific certificate, all training materials, and induction to your specific site hazards and rules. Travel within South Lincolnshire is included in our rates.
Certificates & Compliance
Are your certificates RTITB accredited?
Our instructor holds RTITB Level 3 certification and delivers training to RTITB standards. However, the certificates issued are site-specific, not nationally registered. They are fully valid for your internal audit and insurance purposes but are not automatically transferable to another employer. If you require nationally transferable RTITB certification, discuss this before booking.
How long are certificates valid?
Certificates do not expire strictly by law. However, the HSE L117 Approved Code of Practice recommends refresher training every 3–5 years. Many insurance providers and logistics contracts require renewal on this schedule.
Does your training meet HSE requirements?
Yes — all courses are delivered in line with HSE ACOP L117, PUWER 1998, and LOLER 1998. See our Compliance page for full details of the standards we meet.
What insurance do you carry?
We hold £5 million Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance. Certificates of cover are available on request. See our Terms & Conditions for full liability details.
Are you registered with the ICO for data protection?
Yes — we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and process all candidate data in line with UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Site Preparation
What facilities do we need to provide?
You need to provide: a safe, serviceable forklift with a current LOLER thorough-examination certificate; a designated, segregated practical training area away from other traffic; suitable loads/pallets for training; and a quiet, indoor space for theory testing.
What if our equipment doesn't have a valid LOLER certificate?
Equipment must hold a current LOLER certificate before training can commence. If your machine is not certified, we cannot begin training that day, and the full course fee remains payable. Please ensure LOLER compliance before confirming your booking.
Can training proceed in poor weather?
Outdoor practical training may need to be rescheduled in severe weather or unsafe conditions. We'll assess site safety on arrival and communicate with you if a delay or reschedule is necessary.
